Kansas Strengthening Families Plan
• The Kansas Strengthening Families Plan is part of the State’s vision to reduce the likelihood of child abuse and neglect and to make Kansas the best place to raise a child. The Kansas Strengthening Families Plan serves as Goal 5: Family Supports within the Kansas Early Childhood Comprehensive Systems Plan by providing a framework for helping families in the state. The Kansas Children’s Cabinet and Trust Fund (KCCTF) is acting as the convener in developing a statewide plan that unifies efforts, coordinates resources, and strengthens and supports families to achieve these goals.

Kansas Children's Cabinet and Trust Fund
• The Kansas Children's Cabinet and Trust Fund (KCCTF) is designed to help assist state partners in preventing child abuse and neglect by distributing the Children's Trust Fund dollars. The Children’s Cabinet also assists the Governor in developing and implementing a coordinated, comprehensive delivery system to serve children and families of Kansas. The Cabinet oversees grants for: Smart Start Kansas, Community-Based Child Abuse Prevention (CBCAP), and the Early Childhood Block Grant. (Information courtesy of the KCCTF website.)


Love Is Not Enough Campaign-Strengthening Families Illinois
• The "Love is Not Enough to Keep Your Family Strong" Campaign is a parent led initiative sponsored by Strengthening Families Illinois. "Love is Not Enough" provides families with resources on problem solving skills and helps parents connect with one another to discuss parenting issues. Strengthening Families Illinois is also a leading proponent of hosting Parent Cafés, parent meetings designed to provide support to parents and build the social networks. FRIENDS National Resource Center for Community-Based Child Abuse Prevention
• FRIENDS National Resource Center for Community-Based Child Abuse Prevention provides technical assistance to child prevention efforts across the country. FRIENDS assists state Lead Agencies in measuring and reporting on their outcomes in their various programming efforts. The Kansas Children’s Cabinet and Trust Fund is the CBCAP state lead agency in the state and receives support and technical assistance from the FRIENDS community. Prevent Child Abuse America
• Prevent Child Abuse America is designed to help prevent child abuse through awareness and education. By sponsoring and supporting agencies and events across the country, PAC America helps lead the way in engaging a wide array of community partners to help in the prevention of child abuse. Administration for Children and Families: Children's Bureau
• The Children's Bureau seeks to ensure the safety of children by helping local and state agencies develop programs to prevent child abuse. The Children's Bureau provides support to programs that help at-risk families and find permanent placements for children who cannot safely return to their homes. The mission of the Children's Bureau is to "seek to provide for the safety, permanency and well being of children through leadership, support for necessary services, and productive partnerships with States, Tribes, and communities."
